I Refuse: Deciding What Will No Longer Stop You
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to accept things simply because they've been around for a long time? Fear, discouragement, broken relationships, unhealthy patterns, and even hopelessness can become so familiar that we begin to believe they are just a normal part of life. Yet when David stood before Goliath, he saw what no one else seemed to notice. While everyone else saw an unbeatable giant, David saw an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power. He refused to accept as permanent what God never intended to remain. David was actually the giant in the situation because of God who was with him.
Even with all that is happening today, remember, with God, you are the giant. Through Jesus Christ, God has given us His Spirit and the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in those who believe. Rather than allowing fear to dictate our decisions or circumstances to define our future, we are called to live with courage, faith, and confidence in God's presence. Ask yourself today: What have I accepted that God is calling me to confront? Refuse to allow what God never intended, and trust that the God who is with you is greater than anything standing before you.
